Go Cubs/CBRE Go!

CBRE and the Cubs announced a partnership earlier this year which opened the door to an amazing opportunity for the CBRE Cares Charity Event.

On August 15, 2016 roughly 2,000 people gathered at the Chicago Cubs stadium, Wrigley Field, for a night of fun for a great cause. CBRE hosts an annual charitable event which benefits their CBRE Cares program. This year, because CBRE created a new partnership with the Chicago Cubs, this event was split between helping multiple worthy causes. The Chicago Cubs run numerous charitable programs for encouraging sports in youth as well as funding improvements in health, fitness and education.

Guests got the chance to network with not only clients, brokers and others from the industry, but also the Chicago Cubs' team members themselves. Anthony Rizzo, Jon Lester, Joe Maddon and GM Theo Epstein were in attendance. This event was a unique benefit not only because it was hosted in Wrigley Field but because of how family oriented it was. Usually the charitable galas are in fancy buildings with drinks and hors d'oeuvres and are geared more for the adults. What was refreshing about this was that CBRE and the Cubs turned it into a family evening where parents and their children could play catch in the outfield and mingle with some of the players.

Congratulations to CBRE and the Chicago Cubs for an event well done! Relaxing, refreshing and community oriented, what could be better than that?
